Defending champions of the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL), Kebbi BSC continued their winning run with a 6-5 victory against Kebbi United BSC as Matchday six of the 2024 NBSL second round gets underway in Nnewi, Anambra State on Thursday.
Sadiq Umar scored all five goals for Kebbi United which were not enough to secure a win for his side.
Former Kebbi United player, Hamza Manga caused severe pain to his former team with four goals for Kebbi BSC coupled with a goal each from Abdullahi Hassan and Bello Usman.
Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors also continued their winning run with a hard-fought 3-2 success over Kebbi United BSC.
Two goals from Emeka Ogbonna and a goal by captain, Chinweze Gabriel lifted the host to a slim win.
Monday Joseph and Sadiq Umar reduced the deficit for the Kaura Boys.
After a 5-1 loss to Kada BSC in the first game of the day, Nmanko Patigi BSC got their first win of the second round.
The Kwara-based side defeated debutant, Jigawa Golden Stars BSC 8-6 thanks to four goals from Agemo Samuel.
Blessing Elijah, Taiwo Bashir (brace), and Kunle Jamiu also scored for Nmanko Patigi while Arome Isah, Idowu Akintunde, Bagudu Hamza (brace), and Dahiru Sabi’u converted for the debutant.
Four games, two in the morning and evening will take place as the league continues on Friday.
