2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) Round one in numbers

Round one of the 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) served us with superb and fantastic matches.

As we look forward to Round Two in Kaduna come June, the league examines the major highlights of the first round in statistics below:

1: For the time in the league history, all registered on-field players by Kada BSC scored during Round One.

1: Ibom BSC 4-4 Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors was the only match that was decided after the third period and on penalties.

1: Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors’ Segun Basorun emerged as the only goalkeeper to score during Round One.

2: Dozie Frank of Kada BSC won the Man of the Match twice, the only player to win the award after three games in Round One.

2: Two teams, Niger BSC and Nmanko Patigi BSC, were the clubs that failed to score in a match. Niger BSC achieved the feat in two games during a 7-0 loss to Kada BSC and Kebbi United BSC, respectively. Nmanko Patigi lost 4-0 to Kebbi Fishers BSC.

2: Isyaka Atiku (Kebbi United BSC) and Agemo Samuel (Nmanko Patigi BSC) ended Round One with six goals, the highest after three games.

3: Three games recorded the highest number of goals (12). They are; Kada BSC 10-2 Kebbi United BSC, Nmanko Patigi BSC 5-7 Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors, and Kebbi Fishers BSC 9-3 Ibom BSC.

3: Kada BSC 2-1 Jigawa Golden Star BSC producer the lowest number of goals in a single match.

3: Niger BSC converted the lowest number of goals (3) after three games.

4: Agemo Samuel, who scored four goals during Nmanko Patigi BSC’s 5-7 loss to Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors, converted the highest number of goals in a single match.

8: Eight teams, Kebbi Fishers BSC, Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors, Kebbi United BSC, Kada BSC, Nmanko Patigi BSC, Jigawa Golden Star BSC, Ibom BSC, and Niger BSC, started the league campaign.

12: A total number of 12 games were played during Round one of the league.

19: Kada BSC scored the highest number of goals (19) by a team after three matches.

93: A huge number of 93 goals were scored across 12 games.
