With few hours to the kick-off of the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL), the coach of debutant, Jigawa Golden Stars BSC’s Baffa Adamu hopes his team can cause major upsets in the league
Jigawa Golden Stars BSC will be participating in the league for the first time.
Last season, another debutant, Ibom BSC stunned 2022 winners, Kada BSC on penalties during the second phase.
Adamu wants to reignite such a surprise package when this season gets underway.
“We are preparing normally and by the grace of God we are going to Kebbi State as new participants in the game of beach soccer,” Adamu told www.beachsoccer.ng
“By the grace of God, we are going to surprise other teams and set good records.
“Actually I don’t fear any team that we will be contesting with.”
Baffa stated one of the reasons why Jigawa state decided to join the beach soccer family.
“Beach soccer in Nigeria and Africa is on the rise right now as it can be watched everywhere. That’s why we at Jigawa decided to join the beach soccer family in Nigeria.” He concluded
