Jamiu Kunle targets league title with Nmanko Patigi BSC

One of the outstanding players of the 2023 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL), Jamiu Kunle has big dreams ahead of the 2024 league campaign.

The Nmanko Patigi BSC star’s lofty aspiration is to lift the league title with the Kwara-based side.

A podium finish last season with the team is serving as a motivating force for Jamiu and his teammates as they hope to surpass their second place finish last season with a league title.

“We are trying our best to prepare well because we want to play the league and win it this season,” Jamiu told www.beachsoccer.ng

“Our target for this season is that we want to carry the league cup to Kwara State.

“This season, the only team that can give us problem in the league is Kebbi United BSC. If care is not taken, we are going to beat them.

“We are not afraid of the defending champions, Kebbi BSC because every time we are playing them we know the expectations.”

Jamiu displayed his goal scoring abilities ending the season as one of the top goal scorers behind Dozie Frank of Kada BSC who won the prize.

“Personally, my target this season is to become the highest goal scorer and aspire to be one of the best players in the league.” He continued.

With the beach soccer league growing in leaps and bounds, Jamiu hopes the same can be translated to the national team at international tournaments.

“With what I see about the development of beach soccer in Nigeria, I want to urge our team chairmen and Presidents to help us and brace up so that the game will continue going far and beyond.

“I do watch international beach soccer games and there are some countries that are not as good as Nigeria and are qualifying for the Nations Cup and tournaments outside the continent. We are urging the President to help us so that we can go far more than this.” He concluded.
