The Lagos State Football Association aims to lead in beach football again.
On Saturday, Lagos FA Chairman Hajji Gafar Liameed started a beach soccer group.
The goal is to revive the sport in the state. The event was at the FA office in Surulere.
Chief Godson Uti, a well-known football manager, will chair the Lagos State Beach Soccer Association (LSBSA).
Chief Uti welcomed the idea as a good one in his speech.
He said this move was needed for a long time. Lagos State was once the main place for beach soccer in Nigeria.
He added that his group would work hard to bring beach soccer back to Lagos in a big way.
Other LSBSA members are Mojeed Adegbidin, Jelili Ogunmuyiwa, Bayo Akande, Shade Johnson, and Vianney Rotimi.
