In a bid to equip coaches and referees with the new law and development in the game, the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) organized a three-day refresher course.
Tagged “Courses and Referees Refresher Course 3.0”, the program attracted coaches and referees who will take part in the 2025 NBSL starting on March 31 in Kebbi state.
Day one of the virtual training on Monday, March 24, had NBSL Head of Technical Study Group (TSG), Sunday Okayi, deliver a preview of the amendment to the laws of the game after introducing participants to the game.
It was a joint session for coaches and referees ahead of day two which was for coaches.
On Tuesday, March 25, Nigeria national beach soccer team coaches Coach Abdullahi Isa and Christopher Kadiri, guided participants on the coaches’ role, style, planning, and training on day two.
On day three, Wednesday, March 26, retired FIFA beach soccer referee Abduljelili Ogunmuyiwa delved into more laws of the game with referees.
It has been the tradition of the league to organize refresher courses for referees and coaches ahead of the season opener.
