The Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) has announced the postponement of the Second Round of the 2025 season, originally scheduled to hold in June.
The decision comes as a result of unforeseen circumstances that are beyond the control of the league, making it necessary to shift the fixtures to a later date. The Second Round, which is to take place in Kaduna State, will be rescheduled, and the new date will be communicated in due course.
The NBSL Management assures all participating teams, fans, partners, and stakeholders that preparations for the continuation of the league are well underway. Teams are encouraged to remain focused and continue their preparation as the league is closely working with the Kaduna State Government and State Beach Association to finalize arrangements for the rescheduled fixtures.
Following the successful conclusion of the First Round in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi Fishers Beach Soccer Club (BSC) and Kada Beach Soccer Club (BSC) currently top Groups A and B, respectively. The eight participating teams in the 2025 season are:
* Kebbi Fishers BSC
* Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors
* Ibom BSC
* Nmanko Patigi BSC
* Kada BSC
* Kebbi United BSC
* Jigawa Golden Stars BSC
* Niger BSC
The NBSL remains committed to the growth of beach soccer in Nigeria and to delivering a successful and entertaining season for all stakeholders.
