Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors goalkeeper, Segun Bashorun is eager to lift the 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) which is set to kick off on March 31 in Birnin Kebbi.
The goalie was the star save hands last season which earned him the goalkeeper of the season award.
After a second placed finish last season, Bashorun intends to help his team lift the title this time around.
“The target is to win the league. Our experience last season will help us this time around. I am sure we have gathered lots of experience to win the title,” Bashorun told www.beachsoccer.ng
“Other teams should not write us off. No team is a pushover this season.”

One of the early arrivals in Birnin Kebbi after host teams, Kebbi Fishers and Kebbi United BSC, the Nnewi based side is putting all their arsenals to test in a bid to achieve their aim this season.
“With God on our side we have been doing our part. We have been training since we arrive Kebbi for some days now.” He continued.
“Actually, last season, it wasn’t my plan to win the best goalkeeper but I was so determined to be noticed amongst other goalkeepers in the league.
“This year also, I am just trying to put in more efforts and not relent. I will try to improve in other areas.” He concluded.
Obinna Nwagba’s side is full of confidence following 2024 silver medal feat having a large chunk of players from last season in the team’s fold.
Apart from Bashorun, Clement Egan-osi, Stanley Ekwo, Emeka Ogbonna (Nigeria beach soccer legend also known as Ronaldo) and skipper, Gabriel Chinweze are expected to play pivotal roles in their title challenge.
