Super Finals teams confirmed as 2024 NBSL Second season concludes in Nnewi

Curtain falls on the second round of the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) with the final set of games on Saturday.

Kebbi BSC ended the regular season at the top of the log with 22 points and qualified for the Super Four alongside Kada BSC (19 points), Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors (19 points), and Kebbi United BSC (nine points).

Holders, Kebbi BSC secured a 6-2 win against Nmanko Patigi BSC to end the regular season on a winning note.

Six goals from Taiwo Adams, Ekene Obi, Hamza Manga, Emmanuel Ohwoferia, Godwin Tale, and Abdullahi Hassan ensured that a brace from Agemo Samuel was mere consolation for the Kwara-based side.

Elsewhere, 2022 winners, Kada BSC also defeated Kebbi United BSC 9-5 thanks to braces from Dozie Frank and Victor Tale.

Mamman James, Kareem Hamed, Oladapo Ishola, Tanko Emmanuel, and the new kid on the block, Francis Samuel scored to lift the Kaduna based side to a comfortable win.

The evening games between Nmanko Patigi and Kebbi United went the wire with Sadiq Umar’s last gasp goal separating both sides in a 13 goal thriller.

Kebbi United BSC secured a 7-6 win with Umar scoring three goals coupled with a brace by captain, Monday Joseph.

Umar Aliyu and Ibrahim Musa also scored for the Kaura Boys while Agemo Samuel’s four goals couldn’t salvage anything for his team.

Jamiu Kunle and Taiwo Bashir were the other goal scorers for Nmanko Patigi BSC.

Meanwhile, the last game of the second round was the most surprising one as Jigawa Golden Stars ended host, Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors’ unbeaten run with a 5-3 win.

Sulaiman Abba (brace), Idowu Akintunde (brace), and Bagudu Hamza scored for Jigawa Golden Star BSC.

Clement Ekujumi and a brace from captain, Chinweze Gabriel couldn’t stop Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors from a season ending loss.

The Super Four where the league champion will be crowned is expected to take place in Kaduna by July 2024.
