Taiwo Adams: Kebbi BSC star expects tough 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League season

Ahead of the second round of the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL), Kebbi BSC’s Adams Taiwo is looking forward to a fierce contest between the six teams participating in the league.

Kebbi BSC and Kada BSC are tied on 10 points at the end of the first round, setting the pace for a keenly contest season.

Adams who won the title with Africa’s top-ranked beach soccer side opined that despite the hard task ahead, his team is capable of retaining the title.

“This season will be tougher than last season because there are so many teams with experienced players like my team,” Adams told

“If we have good players, some other teams also have same.”

The clash between Kebbi BSC and Kebbi United BSC has been one of the most highly anticipated games in the league.

The African top-ranked team has always found it hard to defeat their local rivals from the results of last season and in the first round.

“Our game against Kebbi United is a rivalry match. Both teams merged before all of a sudden they decided to be on their own. We expected something like that but before we try to get ourselves going, they are always on top. We always find it somehow tough before we just start to come up the game might have ended.” Adams said.

“For the next round, I believe we will do our possible best to win.”

The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of last season asserted that the focus is to retain the league title.

“This season, my target is to go for the league and not the most valuable player. Last season, the MVP award came up and I won it but this season particularly I am going for the league.” He concluded.
