Coordinator of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL), Mahmud Hadejia who doubles as the African Beach Soccer Union President has expressed deep appreciation to the league’s sponsors and partners following the successful conclusion of the 2025 NBSL Super Finals, where Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors emerged champions after defeating three-time winners Kebbi Fishers BSC in Abuja on Sunday.

Hadejia lauded the support of the league’s corporate partners, including TGI Group’s Wacot Rice Limited, Big Bull Rice, Medicaid Cancer Foundation, Constrix Real Estate, Vento Furniture, Jaiz Bank, Jedo Investment, and BAM Projects and Properties, describing their contributions as vital to the growth and consistency of the league.

He also praised the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) under Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau for its continuous support and physical presence at the grand finale, noting that the Federation’s encouragement has been instrumental in sustaining the momentum of beach soccer in the country.

Reflecting on the steady development of the sport, Hadejia expressed optimism about the Super Sand Eagles’ chances of reclaiming their continental dominance, recalling Nigeria’s past successes as two-time AFCON champions.

“With the national beach soccer team back in international competition and the level of organization we have sustained in the league, I believe Nigeria can host the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations soon and perform excellently,” he said.

The NBSL Coordinator also highlighted the introduction of women’s beach soccer during the Super Finals as a major milestone, following the exhibition match between Naija Ratels FC and Generation Next FA. He emphasized that the development marked the beginning of a bright future for women’s beach soccer both in Nigeria and across Africa.

“The women’s exhibition game is a statement of intent — it shows that the future of women’s beach soccer is promising, and we are ready to nurture it,” Hadejia added.

During the final, the league also presented appreciation awards to key supporters and partners, including NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, Nigeria Volleyball Federation President Engineer Musa Nimrod, Comptroller General of Customs Dr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Seyi Tinubu, Vento Furniture, Wacot Rice Mill Limited, and Constrix Real Estate, for their remarkable contributions to the growth of beach soccer in Nigeria.
