The Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) felicitates with the Nigerian football family on the triumph of the women’s team at the just concluded Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

A 3-2 win over host, Morocco in a dramatic style after coming from two goals down sealed the Super Falcons’ 10th African title.

The feat cemented their place as the most successful women’s football team not only in Africa but globally when it comes to continental football.

NBSL coordinator who doubles as ABSU President, Mahmud Hadejia lauded the efforts and bravery of Justine Madugu’s side.

He acknowledged and appreciated the gallant efforts of the Super Falcons team, complemented by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), National Sports Commission (NSC), and Nigerians for supporting the team to glory.

In the mood of celebration, he also hopes this victory will spur the National Beach Soccer team (Super Sand Eagles) and all the Football teams, male and female, to greater heights in Africa and beyond.

It should be noted that Super Sand Eagles are the second most successful team in Africa with two Beach Soccer AFCON titles behind record winners, Senegal.

NBSL salutes the Super Falcons players and officials for projecting the country’s image beyond boundaries.

The 10-time African Champions complete a “la decima” (tenth title) in an Indomitable manner, beating top sides like Zambia, South Africa, and Morocco in the knockout stage.
