Abuja set to host 2025 NBSL Super Finals

The Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) has confirmed that the 2025 Super Finals will now take place in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, following a change in venue initially planned for Akwa Ibom State.

According to league organizers, the initial host (Awka Ibom) withdrew due to logistics challenges hence the decision to relocate and announce Abuja as the new host city.

The announcement comes after the successful completion of Round One in Kebbi State and Round Two in Anambra State.

The Super Finals, which will determine the 2025 league champions, is set to run from 6th to 9th November, with participating teams are expected to arrive Abuja on 4th November.

A press conference, clinic, and technical session will take place in the morning on 5th November, while official teams training sessions are scheduled later in the day at match venue. Matches will be played at Jabi Lake Park beach soccer/beach volleyball pitch in Abuja.

An All-Star Charity and Cancer Awareness Match will also take place, showcasing Celebrities, Entertainers, Ex Footballers and Ex Beach Soccer players, adding colour and glamour while supporting a good course during the event.

Kebbi Fishers BSC remain the most successful club in the league’s history, boasting three titles (2021, 2023, and 2024), while Kada BSC lifted the trophy in 2022.

The 2025 edition promises to deliver another thrilling finale as teams battle for supremacy on the sands of the nation’s capital.
